Back in the lab — Point Beach Lab
Tonight I got the lab back on the rails.
Cleaned up, tuned up, and ready to be a place where things are made and created.
One of the new rituals I committed to was making something net new — every month of this year.
In January I met that by writing something creative — and finishing some projects in wood — but throughout this month I have been longing to get back in the lab and do something in steel.
When I got the flu earlier this month I thought February might be a write-off — but this amazing warm weather and a return to health has me back in the game.
This sculpture — titled “Column of Many More Squares, Roped Down” — has been knocking about for many years: put partially together, broken, and put back together again.
This time, I think it is where I want it. Next step is to build a podium and put it on display — either in the garden or in the house.
Point Beach Labs out.
